Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM)

*One in three teens in the US will experience physical, sexual or emotional abuse by someone they are in a relationship with before they become adults.

*43% of dating college women report experiencing violent and abusive dating behaviors.

Teen DV Month is a national effort to raise awareness about abuse in teen relationships and promote programs that prevent it.

The theme for 2018 is: “Hands Unite: Do your Part.”

Your hands are a tool for creation, and they play a role in ending dating abuse. Your hands are made for loving and helping—not hurting the ones you love.

Visit Love is Respect for more information, including ways to call (1.866.331.9474) or text with a wellness advocate if you need someone to talk to.

You can also take online quizzes to determine if you are in a healthy relationship and if you are a good partner.

Time's up! Let's all work together to do our part by bringing awareness to teen dating violence and ending the abuse!
