How do I clean up rodent droppings and nests?
When cleaning up any rodent droppings, do not use a vacuum or a broom. First and most important is to spray the droppings with a 10% bleach solution (1part bleach and 9 parts water). Allow the solution to fully saturate the droppings. Wear gloves, use paper towel to wipe up the droppings and then discard into the garbage. Please visit the CDC rodent webpage for more detailed information regarding rodent clean up and click on the "cleaning up after rodents" link.
