Welcome to Tri-County Health Department's website. This site describes many services that Tri-County's dedicated employees provide to 1,250,000 residents of Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas Counties. Most people don't realize how many vital services they receive from their local health department. These services have become such an integral part of America's standard of living that most people take them for granted. These essential public
health services include providing immunizations, family planning and
prenatal care, improving nutrition, conducting restaurant inspections
and assuring sanitation. As a result of the many remarkable public health programs, Americans are enjoying a longer, healthier and more active life that was inconceivable only a few decades ago. But we still have much work to do with the many new challenges that are facing public health agencies. They include obesity, tobacco use, injuries, lack of immunizations and lack of access to adequate health care for all citizens. As part of our mission, all of us at Tri-County Health Department will continue to work to address these - and many other - public health problems in the future.
Richard L. Vogt, MD Tri-County Health Department does not discriminate against job applicants, employees or clients on the basis of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other status protected by state law.* *Some of our grant-funded programs have income, residency or age requirements. (Such as children's immunizations or senior dental care.) Many are offered for free or on a sliding fee scale. Tri-County is a drug-free and smoke-free workplace.
