One of the most pronounced shifts in
Colorado’s
demographics is the aging population. The increasing number of seniors
affects families, health providers, caregivers, policy and business. The Colorado
Trust has allocated $6.5 million dollars for a four-year initiative
designed to strengthen the organizational capacity of senior-serving
organizations and increase and improve service provision to today’s
seniors ages 65 and older. This new initiative includes a grant
program to implement new programs and support or expand existing
programs.

Tri-County
Health Department serves as the statewide coordinating agency
for the initiative, and provides technical assistance and networking
opportunities to grantees.
