How
to dry latex paint on your own:
Latex paint is NOT a hazardous waste, and should be completely dried
out and disposed of with your regular household garbage. To dry paint,
remove the lid from the paint cans, mix in an absorbent to speed the
drying process (such as kitty litter, dirt or sand) and allow the paint
to dry completely before disposing with your regular trash pickup.
Please DO NOT bring water-based latex paint to the Household Chemical
roundups. DO continue to bring oil-based paint for proper disposal.

NEW! Two $40 Coupon for Digital Converter
Boxes Instead of TV Disposal
Beginning February 2009, all television stations will broadcast digital signals,
and older televisions will not display a picture unless they have a converter
box. This is a simple, inexpensive device and we highly recommend this solution
instead of the disposal of massive numbers of TVs into landfills or electronic
recycling.
You can order two $40 coupons for converter boxes here
