Dispensing information is just as important is dispensing medication. Clear communication is vital in every public health situation - by providing accurate information, informing people of risk, and motivating healthy changes.

We create health education materials that are shared with other agencies nationwide including the "Fight the Bite" West Nile virus campaign, the "Chicken About Bird Flu?" avian influenza website and the "Give Your Child a Shot at Success" children's immunization campaign.

We also partner with other organizations to promote local and national public health initiatives, including three PBS series "Rx for Survival," "Take One Step" and "Unnatural Causes" the 9Health Fair, Race for the Cure and the Body Worlds and Benjamin Franklin museum exhibitions.

Award-Winning Health Campaigns:
Our annual report, “An Ounce of Prevention... What Is It Really Worth?” received the first-place “Gold Leaf Award” from the Colorado Healthcare Communicators Association; our "Fight the Bite" West Nile virus campaign won the Model Practices Award (
their highest honor) from The National Association of County and City Health Officials, and is currently used across the country; and our "Chicken About Bird Flu?" campaign and "Public Health Heroes" annual report each won the bronze award from the National Public Health Information Coalition.
