Student Nurse Clinical Placement Program


Nursing Students

Welcome! Tri-County Health Department is the largest local health department in Colorado. It is our mission to protect, promote and improve the health, environment and quality of life for the residents of Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas Counties.

As a public health agency, we recognize the importance of the education of our future nurses. Our Nursing Division proudly works with over ninety student nurses each year to provide a wide variety of informative and meaningful public health experiences.

During clinical rotations, student nurses work closely with trained Tri-County Health Department Clinical Scholars. Students will have the opportunity to learn about public health nursing and to participate in innovative public health practices.





Our Clinical Scholars are matched to work with select universities. Because of this, they have built relationships with professors and are familiar with the course curriculum.
