Practicum and Internship Opportunities

Internship and Practicum Opportunities


As a leader in innovative public health services, Tri-County Health Department offers supervised practice and training opportunities for selected students in several fields. We value education and are proud to help develop the next generation of public health professionals.

Masters or Doctorate in Public Health:
Students may select from a list of defined projects and areas to work in for the practicum or project hours.

Deadline:
Project and practicum applications are due at least 30 days prior to your desired start date, to allow for review of applications.
• Project/practicum slots are filled on a competitive basis and are non-paid

Students may also submit a proposal for an outside project idea. (Guidelines)

Dietetic Internship in Public Health:
• For students completing a didactic program in dietetics who are seeking to become Registered Dietitians

Environmental Health Internship:
• For students seeking a professional internship experience as required in their B.S. degree in Environmental Health
• Internships may be general, or specific to a current Environmental Health program

Student Nurse Clinical Placements:
• We work with selected universities in Colorado to precept nursing students through clinical rotations
