Now
in its 15th year, the Denver Komen Race for the Cure will be held
on October 7th. The Susan
G. Komen for the Cure Foundation is
the world's largest and most progressive grassroots network of breast cancer
survivors and activists.
Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, they have invested nearly
$1 billion, becoming the world’s largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated
to the fight against breast cancer. The Komen for the Cure Denver Metropolitan affiliate helps to carry out the mission of the national organization: to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease through advancing research, education screening and treatment. • Komen - Denver Metro Website • Komen - National Website Tri-County Health Department is a beneficiary of a grant from the Denver Metropolitan Komen for the Cure Foundation, which helps to provide free mammograms for our clients. Our Women's Health Services: Tri-County Health Department provides free breast exams, mammograms, Pap tests, pelvic exams, cholesterol screening, blood pressure readings and blood sugar tests to qualifying women.
