Diabetes Self-Empowerment Class - English

Class Description:
Sign up below for this FREE series of in-person or virtual group classes to further improve your management of diabetes. Classes are interactive and involve lively group discussions. In-person classes consist of four, 2-hour long classes and virtual classes consist of eight, 1-hour classes held over Zoom. No prior Zoom experience required. 

Participants are welcome to attend one or all classes, and bring a friend or family member for support.  

If none of the listed class times work for you, sign up for the general waitlist, and we will reach out when future class schedules are available. 


Your Diabetes Coaches: 


Keri Howard, RDN, CDE
Keri is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), trained lifestyle coach, and registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). She has many years of experience facilitating classes. Keri enjoys working alongside people to support them in making the lifestyle changes they desire to make in order to improve their health and wellbeing. 


Theresa Smith, RDN
Theresa is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and trained lifestyle coach who is committed to a whole health approach that includes physical, emotional and mental health. She believes that we all have our own journey towards a healthy life and there is no one right path to take. Instead, strong support, self-love and laughter will be the guiding force to the positive changes you want. She can’t wait to see you in class!


Tessa Cushman, RDN 
Tessa is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and trained lifestyle coach with a passion for weight neutral and equitable care for all. Her family’s history of diabetes inspired her to become a dietitian, and she has several years of experience coaching and teaching people of all ages. She warmly welcomes all to join her classes!
